Fonts

Hooge 05_53 Font. Seen in all of my screenshots. Nice, small font. Great for use everywhere in the system, including on your dialogs. Best viewed at 6pt size. Download below:

My custom "blank" Marlett font. Used for all window caption buttons, scroll bar arrow buttons, etc... Seen in all of the latest tutorial images, and desktop screenshots. Note: This will remove the "glyphs" commonly seen on window caption buttons such as the X for close, - for Minimize, etc... Check out my screenshot on the Mod category page for an example of what it will look like. Download below:

Icons/Toolbar Bitmaps

The "Signs" icon set that you've seen in all of my tutorial images. Made by qoa, and by far, one of the greatest icon sets ever compiled. This link is also on my links page, but needed to be here as well. Just go to the "Icons" section, and let the page load. The "Signs" set is seperated into categories, and you should definately download all of them. This is one set of icons that you cannot afford to be without. Site link below:

The "Metrox" icon set. Seen in my most recent screenshot, and currently in use. I mixed both this set, and the "Signs" set up for my current setup, and I'm very pleased with it. The link below will take you to the icons page of Dark Project Studios. You should really let that page load, and look at all the other sets available. Beautiful icon sets, several of them. The "Metrox" set is one of the best, but not the only one. Definately essential. Site link below:

Toolbar Bitmaps made by qoa. Some of the best ever, just like his icons. Two pages, several sets. Enjoy :) Links below:

Essential apps for customization:

Tclock 2: No one who even dares to customize their Windows operating system should be without this app. Without Tclock 2, your taskbar doesn't stand a chance, and it can customize some other parts of Windows as well. New release is out, doing much more then the previous version :) Direct download below:

Replacer by undefined

System file exchanger for 2K/XP. Exchanges system files for you, all that is required is a reboot or logoff. Never worry with system file replacement again.

PKTray by PK

Great app here made by PK which does so many different little things, all from one place. I use this application on every screenshot, as it's just that essential. My main use for it, and most favorite feature is it's ability to hide the minimized task on my taskbar. So, I can have all sorts of things open, but maintain that clean looking taskbar. PKTray resides in the systray, and does several other things. Hides desktop icons, start button, systray (may or may not work) and you can control Winamp and your CDPlayer with it also. Great app to have. Direct download below:

XCap Caption Changer/Modifier by Methodik

A wonderful app here that will center or blank out all active and inactive window titlebar text. Link below is to the home page for the application, and also the rest of Methodik's app's as well. A new version of XCap has been released, doing even more then it already did. Definately take a look at this app:

3D Color Changer (3DCC): The app most widely used to change up your windows color schemes. Allows you to change ALL of the OS colors, rather then just the standard, default colors. It's a must have if you don't have it already. Direct download below:

DisplaySet: The ultimate system color changer app. Does just the same as 3DCC, but allows for size and font control, all within one app, with a much better UI. Link provided by TweakFiles.net. Direct Download below:

IconX : I just found this little gem recently, and I must say it's as impressive and essential as Tclock 2. If you don't know what IconX is, it's a shell extension, which installs itself (installs as easily as TweakUI) , and places an entry in the context menus of ALL drives, files, folders, etc... that simply says "Change Icon" . You see the beauty of this now? You can really cut back on having to use Reshacker to change your icons by using this shell extension. Every single file, folder, drive, etc.. can be individualized, and different from the other. No two icons have to be the same if you don't want them to be. It takes up no memory, and is only active when you right click to retrieve the context menu, that's it. By far, one of the nicest extensions ever made, as it allows you to change any and all icons on the fly, one by one, you're choice. Total user control here. The link below is a direct download, and this extension is FREE, but, the author wants you to email him for a registration code. I did this, but have recieved no response. One member from VP who already had this extension for a while said he never recieved a response, but his has continued to work. Occasionally, the icon changing dialog will come up as a blank box, telling you to register, but simply close it out, and bring it up again, and it will work fine. A little inconvenient, but to be able to do what this extension allows you to do, considering the amount of time you will save, it's worth it. Direct Download below:
